The Company 

The company is an influential Myanmar conglomerate with broad business interests comprising Banking, Real Estate, Construction & Engineering, Manufacturing, Energy, Agriculture, Hospitality & Leisure and stand-alone F&B. It now seeks to appoint a suitably-experienced Operations Director to oversee its portfolio of hotel assets.

The Position

Located in Yangon, the appointed individual will oversee in-house and branded operations across various city centre and beachside hotel resort assets as well as a serviced residence. Reporting to a Cluster GM, the appointed individual will provide leadership for all day-to-day operational matters whilst improving and upholding brand standards, devising and implementing service optimisation and revenue strategy and steering key KPIs around guest satisfaction and financial management. Naturally, there is a concurrent requirement to lead, mentor and coach HODs in each of the properties whilst seamlessly aligning commercial and operational goals to deliver outstanding financial performance and customer satisfaction.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer at least 10 years’ experience in hotel operations and with a strong preference for a Thai national accustomed to delivering operations and service excellence within a leading international hotel chain environment. This experience will be complemented by a Degree in Hospitality Management and preferably further complemented by an MBA and/or similar accreditation (Finance, for instance). Imperative will be a demonstrable record of improving internal performance to achieve key service and revenue goals. English language proficiency should be fluent whilst the position will suit a culturally adaptive and versatile individual.
