Entrepreneurial Conglomerate
Early-Stage Venture-Building Leadership Appointment
Location: Myanmar
The Company
The company is a well-respected, vertically-integrated market leader with heavy focus toward B2B and B2C consumer goods. It has invested heavily in people and process allowing for strong organic and acquisitive growth whilst strategic decisions have also created ASEAN opportunities for additional diversification. As part of its ongoing strategy to develop an integrated platform of products, brands and service lines, it now seeks a CEO to create, commercially develop and operationally optimise its Agri interests.
The Position
Located in Myanmar, whilst reporting directly to the Group CEO, the appointed individual will provide strategic and operational expertise to create value across key agri commodities, such as rice, beans, pulses, oils and similar, whilst ensuring initiatives engage and transform trading, logistics, distribution and manufacturing segments of the business. The position will create and champion the vision whilst steering the establishment and implementation of each key operational function whilst building stakeholder engagement with farmers, suppliers and distributors as potential partners. There will be a corresponding need to build, grow and coach a cross-functional team whilst also attending to key budget, market share and P&L matrices.
The Person
Interested candidates should have entrepreneurial verve to complement Degree/MBA accreditations, 15+ years’ leadership experience within Agri (focused toward commodities trading, manufacturing, logistics/distribution) and a record of creating scalable, sustainable and profitable business growth. Strong exposure to commodities supply chain optimisation, farming practices and collaborative partnerships with Government bodies, NGOs and private sector suppliers will be advantageous. Whilst Burmese nationals (local/repatriate) may be preferred, interested candidates offering a wealth of relevant experience within SE Asia will also be considered.
