Job description

  • Private Markets

  • Sector Focus: Logistics & Data Centres

  • Location & Coverage: Singapore / APAC

The Company

The organisation is a prominent international Group comprising public and private real estate funds. It is heavily focused toward the investment, development and asset management of APAC-wide industrial real estate on behalf of its institutional investors whilst progressively growing an AUM in excess of $100bn. To support an appetite for ongoing growth, the deal team wishes to appoint an Investment Associate.

The Position

Based in Singapore, whilst reporting the Head of Transactions, the appointed individual will enjoy a fast-paced environment whilst supporting multiple concurrent acquisition and JV opportunities across the region. Primarily supporting acquisitions for greenfield development, and some secondary brownfield asset transactions, the role will include regional deal screening, financial feasibility studies and the preparation of IC investment recommendations whilst supporting deal structuring and completions. Activity will relate to asset acquisitions, land for development and potential JVs including support of new venture conceptualisation. Whilst capital deployment is the primary responsibility for the team, the appointed individual will review market research and data management with respect to the APAC industrial sector (mainly Data Centre and Logistics) and ongoing support to pitch books for future fund-raising.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer a good Degree in Real Estate/Finance/Economics and an anticipation of 4-7 years private markets real estate investment experience focused toward logistics and/or DC assets. Interested individuals should offer advanced financial modelling acumen (a CFA accreditation would be ideal) and sound end-to-end deal cycle and transactional experience. A strong work ethic, desire for success and the ability to operate in an organised and self-motivated manner is essential as the environment is fast-paced and focused toward ongoing growth. Whilst current or prior Asia exposure will be preferred, interested prospects offering appropriate sector and transactions management experience from other geographies will be welcomed.
