The Company 

The organisation is an international Real Estate investor. In the Asia-Pacific region this includes a highly diversified $10bn AUM portfolio of traditional, new economy and alternative assets supporting broad investment strategies from core to opportunistic incorporating asset acquisitions and development. In Tokyo, the firm now wishes to bolster its Fund Management team with the appointment of an Associate.

 

The Position       

Reporting to the Head of Fund Management, the appointed individual will be exposed to the management all key FM components. This will include the implementation of strategies for both investment and asset management, sector allocation reviews and proposals, portfolio analysis, investor reporting and final underwriting and due diligence reviews of proposed transactions ahead of IC presentations. In addition, a secondary responsibility will include support to a third-party platform in Japan to further bolster its LP/GP hybrid credentials.

The Person 

Interested candidates will offer a good Degree (Real Estate, Finance, Economics) from a noted University and around 6-8 years of relevant post-graduate experience. This should ideally have been secured within a Fund Management environment and including early career exposure to transactions across a variety of asset types whilst experience gained within Portfolio Management, Controlling or Fund Management will be preferred and which should include technical skills relating to underwriting, asset-level budgeting and investor reporting. Candidates should be Japanese nationals or foreign talent offering fluent Japanese and English language proficiency.
