Chief Financial Officer (Retail)

It has invested heavily in people and process allowing for strong organic and acquisitive growth whilst strategic decisions have also created ASEAN opportunities for additional diversification. As the Group continues to expand its market leadership, there is now a compelling opportunity for an accomplished finance leader to join as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This appointment offers the chance to work alongside the CEO and Board in shaping and strengthening the Group’s financial and strategic direction. With robust operations, a strong capital base, and an entrepreneurial culture, the company provides a platform for a dynamic leader to create lasting commercial impact and long-term value for both the firm and community. The Position Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will assume full accountability for the retail arm’s financial management, governance, and performance. The remit combines strategic and operational leadership, covering financial planning and analysis, risk management, investment oversight, and compliance with international and local reporting standards. The CFO will oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, quarterly results, and annual audits in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards. The role entails managing capital structures, distributions, and investment liquidity to optimise cash flow and shareholder value. The incumbent will lead all financial aspects of major transactions including acquisitions, restructurings, and disposals, ensuring rigorous due diligence, accurate valuation, and seamless post-deal integration. In addition, the CFO will support M&A and Group Finance teams in developing investment budgets, forecasts, and strategic projects while driving the design and implementation of financial systems and processes for newly acquired assets or entities. The Person The ideal candidate will be a seasoned finance leader with a proven record of success in multinational or complex business environments. A qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), you will bring deep expertise in financial strategy, reporting, and commercial management—ideally complemented by experience in Private Equity or Venture Capital-backed settings. A strong understanding of the Myanmar market and retail landscape will be critical to navigate local dynamics and align financial strategies with evolving consumer and regulatory trends. Fluency in English and Myanmar, coupled with a collaborative, hands-on leadership style and sound commercial judgment, will be key to success.
